Office Fit Out

Design

Our design team will translate your ideas, ethos and business identity into a hard-working office design; beautiful, functional, and always formulated upon the best interests of its day-to-day users.

We look at your business and workspace holistically to create people-centred spaces that best promote the ways in which people work, meet, interact, and relax – leading to an increase in productivity and a more collaborative environment. As the needs of our clients can vary greatly, we carefully select the right designers to produce an inspirational environment to suit your style of working. Because we know that collaboration is key, the design team work hand-in-hand with furniture planners, project managers and technical experts for an integrated approach and seamless design process.

A well-designed workspace can be transformational on many levels, and the benefits of a Fusion-designed workspace are considerable and far-reaching. We create spaces that both look fantastic and function incredibly well – that impress clients and are a joy for your team to use every day.

Fit Out & refurbishment

From the initial consultation, we will guide you through every step of the process and take the time to understand your culture, organisation and aspirations, so that your new space reflects and adapts to the needs of your business.

We’ll provide a detailed plan, a team to do the heavy lifting, and everything else you need. You’ll also benefit from a project manager and pre-construction manager, who each work closely with our designers to ensure the vision for your space is realised. When the time comes to install your new or refurbished workplace design on-site, everyone comes together to ensure the schedule runs like clockwork.

The wellbeing of your team, while work is going on, is an important consideration in any office refurbishment. Our knowledge of your space enables us to make engineering and design recommendations long before work begins while keeping you up to date with the latest regulations. This ensures that you know what your responsibilities are and reduces the risk of surprises and changes further down the line, once your team is settled in.

KBC Bank

KBC’s expansion had lead the business to increase the population of their head quarters building in Old Broad Street.
As a consequence they needed to remodel the environment to suit their modern office needs and increase the performance of the air conditioning.

KBC’s expansion had lead the business to increase the population of their head quarters building in Old Broad Street. As a consequence they needed to remodel the environment to suit their modern office needs and increase the performance of the air conditioning.

A study and brief for the air conditioning upgrade was commissioned and carried out by Hilson Moran.

Munich RE

Fusion were appointed by the building surveyor APS to design & build alteration to Munich Re’s existing space.

The project involved taking down a cellular office occupied by a subsidiary company to increase the capacity of the open plan offices.

The works included surveys and alteration of sprinklers, lighting, power data, fire alarms and air conditioning. As the building is in the City of London, section 20 approval to carry out the works had to be applied for as well as building control.  A licence had to be sort from the landlord to carry out the works.

KBC Disaster Recovery Suite

Fusion have been appointed to carry out the design and build of KBC’s new disaster recovery suite.

Fusion’s team included an interior design company and a mechanical and electrical consultant. We co-ordinated the team and arranged a successful planning application under difficult circumstances due to local restrictions.

We are now on site so watch this space for regular updates.

The project value is around £400,000.

N B Real Estate

AXA Real Estate Asset Managers appointed NB Realestate to prepare the third floor of Bateman House for re-letting.

NBRE prepared an outline spec and Fusion were the successful tenderer.

The project value was £110,000 and took five weeks to complete.

The works included full strip out, new ceiling lighting fire alarms and air conditioning. The space was finished off with complete decoration and new carpets throughout.

It included the installation of contractor design air conditioning. We chose Fujitsu ducted system thus avoiding unsightly ceiling mounted cassettes which detract from the ‘rentability’ of the space.

Other challenges that we encountered were the floor box locations. The space did not have a proprietary raised access floor so moving the floor boxes into a uniform pattern proved difficult and costly.

The end results were worth the effort and Fusion was commended for their effort in completing the project to a high standard providing a highly desirable space in central Cambridge.

Fusion have continued their relationship with NB Real Estate and have been involved with several other projects.

Sweet & Maxwell

Fusion was appointed to carry out the toilet refurbishment through Sweet and Maxwell’s consultant IDM.

The works comprised of the complete strip out of the existing facilities.

The scheme included new plumbing, sanitary ware, power, lighting, tiled floor and walls, new suspended ceilings, new doors and ironmongery, new cubicles and vanity units.

The refurbishment was finished with decoration to the toilet lobbies.

We have a phased programme so that Sweet and Maxwell personnel still had access to facilities throughout the works. The logistics of the project were particularly difficult as there was very little space for material storage during the works.

This problem was overcome by utilising a parking space and moving material as it was required.

The works were completed successfully to the entire satisfaction of the client.
